Product description

Tea came to Tanzania relatively late, but as trade flourished, few estates carried the torch of natural husbandry. Luponde, the bellwether of organic tea cultivation in the country, brings you Tanzania Luponde BP1, black tea pellets prized for their nuttiness and often doused in milk to tone down the strength of their flavour.

This, the crown jewel of Luponde, is a tea that keeps a low profile. But the flavour is rich and somewhat tropical; distinctive, in any case. It’s malty, strong, and dark, but it’s also creamy and sweet. Perfectly balanced, it’s a tea that makes no claim to greatness, but is genuinely lovely nonetheless. With or without milk, you’ll appreciate the coolness, so sip it whenever the urge for black tea as it was meant to be.
