You know this isn’t your run-of-the-mill Ceylon when you need a wet monsoon to grow leaves large enough and with enough sap for this tea variety. But St Coombs tea estate is willing to produce this labour-intensive tea for the likes of tea aficionados from across the world. Have a sip of this sought-after orange brew, and don’t be amazed if you too have the St Coombs Ceylon bug.



For a premium Ceylon, this tea’s aroma doesn’t do much to prepare you for what’s to come. The sweet and fruity bite with notes of berries is subtle, but when it hits the palate it comes to life. It’s playful and piquant, it’s dark and deep, but it’s also refreshing and uplifting; a brew for half-term breaks and afternoon lounging.


Caffeine Level

With 27 mg to 35 mg per cup, the caffeine level in this cup is moderate, such that you may enjoy it even in the evening.

Flowery Pekoe (FP) leaves processed using Orthodox methods.


Where Does It Come From?

Cultivated at altitudes of 4,000ft. to 5,000ft, this high-grown tea makes its way to your tea pot from Dimbula, Sri Lanka.
