Product description
This is a 1st flush Darjeeling produced on the Soom estate at the foothills of the Himalayas. To the hundreds of people working there, plucking and processing these TGFOP1 grade leaves is a labour of love. You’ll appreciate their efforts as soon as you take your first sip of this sumptuous afternoon tea with amber hues and a soft and sumptuous profile.
Taste
As you’d expect from a luxury Darjeeling tea, the flavour is a mixture of sugar and spice. Medium-bodied and balanced, it boasts the sought-after fruity astringency of wine that tea aficionados like to call muscatel. But it’s also a warm and smooth drink. Being a Flowery Golden grade (the ‘FG’ in ‘TGFOP1’), it comes with a high proportion of buds, which give it a mellow and soft bite.
Caffeine Level
This fantastic tea comes with approximately 27 mg to 35 mg of caffeine per cup, which is moderate by all accounts.

Premium grade black tea.
