Product description

Kenya Milima tea is harvested from select bushes processed at Saoas Factory in Kericho, East Africa’s only orthodox style leaf producer. The distinctive taste infused with floral notes is brought about through slow growth in June and July, the cooler months of the year. Every leaf is plucked by hand, bright and early, then rolled into its distinctive twisted shape three times, and left to dry naturally. But only top-grade leaves with a large proportion of golden tips will be selected for this Milima variety.

When it comes to taste, Milima is unparalleled. Warm, soft, and with very subtle fruity notes, it’s a full-bodied tea worth bragging about. The high-grown leaves descend into the teapot to unleash a malty essence with all the astringency and depth of a black tea, but far more sophisticated. This rich, balanced, low-caffeine brew with copper hues brings wine and dried fruit to mind, so don’t hesitate to serve it with a sumptuous evening meal.
