Product description
Santosa has pride of place in your tea cabinet. Harvested in the peak growing season, this tea variety is one of Indonesia’s best-kept secrets. A pale amber potion with flowery and malty notes, this brew is a prime example of high-quality Javan tea.
Taste
Java Santosa is a black tea with an almost herbal character. Deep but medium-bodied, toned down with a honey-like sweetness but followed by a slightly bitter aftertaste, this brew isn’t your run-of-the-mill black tea.
It’s a drink with hints of wood and fruit, light on the palate and surprisingly fragrant. It goes down well after dinner and it calls for a lemon tart or a tea cake to round off those fruity notes and soften the bitter-sweet aftertaste.
Caffeine Level
No need to worry about the caffeine level in this tea. At only 27 mg to 35 mg per cup, it’s quite moderate.
Ingredients
Premium grade black tea.
Quality of Leaves
Broken Orange Pekoe Special (BOPS) leaves processed using Orthodox methods.
Where Does It Come From?
It’s a tea grown at 2,500ft. to 3,500ft. in the heart of Java’s highlands.
Who Is This Tea For?
A wallop of flavour and warmth, this tea is a tasty thrill for the seasoned palate and a subtle titillation for the mind.
