Product description

Dried naturally in a cloud of smoke from burnt oak and pine, the freshly plucked leaves in this Formosa Lapsang tea yield a flavour that’s sumptuous and unique. Pan-fired, rolled by hand, pressed, and then stored in wooden barrels, the leaves ferment to gain a musty character. As they are hung again in bamboo baskets and suspended over burning pine until they’re completely dry, their richness and depth are amplified, so that every sip becomes a fulfilling experience.

One of the finest black teas to grace your palate, Formosa Lapsang has un unmistakable taste that’s smoky, smooth, and delicate. A sweeter and richer flavour than the classic Lapsang Souchong, this tea reminds you of campfires and peaceful slumber under the open sky. Medium-bodied and sophisticated, the tea gives off an aroma that’s oaky, deep, and alluring – perfect for impressing your most distinguished guests.
